One Reason I love Fall

There is nothing like a day in down-town Sandpoint, ID carving pumpkins in the park!

We met up at Yokes early Monday morning to pick out some pumpkins from the Yokes pumpkin patch! We then went to the park to begin carving. It was so much fun to be outdoors and enjoy the crisp fall air!

Apparently carving pumpkins brings out the intensity in me.

OH FALL HOW .....

It was an absolutely gorgeous day. After finishing our pumpkins we walked around the park and took some silly pictures:) Then we decided we were hungry we so we walked to Alex's parents restaurant (Mr. Sub) and ate some sandwiches! It was so much fun to walk around on such a beautiful day. I couldn't ask for better friends and a more exciting adventure. When we went to drop off everyone at their cars at the theater we all had to go to the bathroom. Following a potty break we went to leave and Tabitha started having a seizure. Brandon, Arod and I held Tabitha's head and hand and helped her through it. I called her father who was headed to town to pick her up. When he arrived, we helped her to the car, got her stuff out of her car, and sad farewell! It was really hard for all of us to watch Tabitha be in so much pain and struggle, I felt horrible. Today Tabitha is feeling much better and resting! We love you Tabitha!!!

Following the theater I went to Grandma and Grandpas to help them with a problem with their phone line! After talking with them a bit they wanted to see my pumpkin. I brought it in from my truck to show them, and they were delighted. I decided (since i had the battery candles with me) to leave it on their porch for the neighborhood to enjoy. Grandma was so excited! It looks so adorable all lit up, and needless to say, Grandma and Grandpa are ready for TRICK-OR-TREATERS!!!!

A-Rod's Birthday

It's October again! Which means it Amanda Rodriguez ( a coworker of mine) will celebrate her birthday! Last year the girls from work went to Spokane to have dinner and go dancing...this year we decided to do a little more low key. Amanda's sister was in town and got a hotel room in CDA. We left Sandpoint directly after work on Saturday, and headed towards a night on the town:) We stopped to go shopping before going to our hotel room:) After checking in, we got ready for dinner, and headed to Olive Garden. Probably the most entertaining meal I have ever sat through, I have never ate so much pasta in my whole life! After olive garden we got ice cream at Safeway, and went to the hotel room. I died Amanda and her sisters hair, and we talked away the night. I think we finally went to sleep around 4 am. We woke up around 9:45 and went to Denny's for breakfast. It was such a fun girls weekend and I'm so glad I get to spend every birthday with Amanda:) She's a sweetheart!

Alaska Reunion 2010

Welcome to the Alaska Reunion 2010, in Post Falls Idaho.

Joy Raby flew into Spokane Friday evening, and I drove down to Kaynie's apartment right after work. That evening we went to dinner at Red Robin and came home to talk about our lives and get all caught up. Kaynie and I naturally stayed up real late talking about school, work, guys the works. In the morning we woke up and picked up Nicole Attridge from her apartment in Spokane and headed to the airport to wait for the arrival of Kiara! After lunch at dicks, we went up Southhill to Mainto park. It was a beautiful day - not to hot not too cold! We took the opportunity to make sure and get a bunch of pictures of us all together. We were able to drive around the south hill and look at the beautiful homes, and dream of the day that we are in a position to own such a home.

Later we went to riverfront park to relax and walk around! We took the time to also be children and ride the marry-go-round! Such a fun day with a fun group of girls:) Later that night Chris and Carson Mills arrived with Carissa from Okanogan! We ordered pizza and just laid low at the apartment playing games and goofing around:)

Sunday morning we woke up and all got ready for church, I was so tired, as we had to rotate 6 people through the bathroom and I volunteered to be ONE of the first to rotate in...Being up late, and getting up early - takes a toll on me! After church we all dressed up in our matching Post Falls tee-shirts and walked to the park just down the road from Kaynie's apartment. We were able to play on the toys and walk around the falls! I actually lost my phone (which late was stolen) at the park...So frustrating! Chris and Kiara walked all over the park multiple times in attempt to help me find it...we never did:(

It was such a fun weekend! Every time I get together with my friends I met up in Alaska in 2008, I always come away with the feeling that I NEED TO GET BACK UP THERE! I am always so uplifted and happy:) They truly bring out my true colors and I love each and everyone of them. I'm glad I was able to go down there for the weekend to spend some much needed time away from work:)

A fresh start:)

I hate to go to church alone. I despise sitting all by myself while families are gathered around in the pews surrounding me. When mom and dad are out of town, this is the case. Everyone always questions, "where are your mom and dad today?" Although this is a very good talking point, it gets so annoying to answer the same questions every time. I really like the Westmond ward, there is always something so amazing every Sunday. This week it was our ward choir! I know what your thinking, a good LDS ward choir? GET OUT! haha, they were awesome. I had goose-bumps and tears in my eyes. They sang amazing grace, and it was stunning. They opened the song with a small girl singing half the first verse, then the men came in and joined her. She too was teared up. It was the most touching thing I've ever witnessed from a Ward choir. Usually most don't expect much from a few individuals who meet once a week prior to church to throw something together that will fill some time in sacrament and hopefully add to the spirit of the meeting. I cannot even tell you how awesome it was. The theme for sacrament was "protecting our families from the advisory" I took so much from the talks. I find it fascinating that with all the knowledge we have, how anyone can deny the spirit of the Lord in our meetings on Sundays. The quote that stuck out most was from a high councilmen who said, "through trial and hardships come opportunity. Never close yourself off from positive prevention, and rely on the spirit more in decisions. Start to have prevention, not reaction." It really touched my heart, and hit me pretty hard. I have been trying so hard to rely more on the spirit in making my choices and decisions. Recently I have been presented with a great missionary opportunity, and I have dropped to my knee's multiple times a day for guidance and strength in my endeavors to bring happiness to this individuals life. I often look at my friends who don't have the gospel, and feel sorry for them. I always think, "man if only you had the gospel of Jesus Christ in your life, you'd be so much happier."

I feel so blessed to have attended church this morning. Following the 9 year memorial of September 11th, it really just brought a calming peace and love to my heart. May the Lord continue to watch over those individuals who were and are currently dealing with the struggles of that fateful day:( I'm so happy to have a strong family to which I'm sealed to for time and eternity, and the fresh outlook on my life!

Helping Grandma and Grandpa Noble

This week mom and dad went to Chicago, Illinois to help my brother Matt relocate. It has been a busy week running the theater, keeping the house clean, taking care of things that need done, and also taking care of grandma and grandpa. I've gotten a little piece of what my dad deals with on a weekly basis. Tuesday I took grandma to an eye apt at 7:30 am. Wednesday was grandpa's rehab session at 8:30 am, and then a grocery shopping trip mid week. It's been fun spending time with them...A severe struggle to get up in the early morning to run to town. Friday Grandma called and said that Grandpa didn't want to go to rehab so they would see me Monday to take them down to the hospital.

Every time I show up and leave grandma and grandpa's house...grandpa gets so sad and breaks down into tears. It's probably the hardest thing for me to see so much sadness in my grandfathers eyes. Being one of the youngest grandchildren, it's so tough to see. I'm grateful for the time I have had the past few years to really get close to Grandma and Grandpa Noble, and count my blessings that I have been able to be right here all along the way:) Sure has been a ride!

A beautiful week

This week has been truly eventful in so many different ways. I started the week with lots of work. In fact, today (Sunday) is my first day off in 15 days:) It feels so good to have a break - especially on Sunday! Work has been crazy busy with training 4 new individuals who all pretty much started at the same exact times. I have been pretty stressed but the new additions have been super fun to spend time with and get to know.

Thursday I set up an appointment downtown to take Grandma Noble to have her hair trimmed and permed. It was so cute watching her chat with her stylist Kellie. It was like they are best friends they way they talked. Then Grandma fell asleep in the chair - it was adorable:)

The September air has become a little more chilly lately. The views have been gorgeous. I always have said that Fall is the prettiest season, which is why it's my favorite seasons.

Fall also contains the best sunsets. This truly capped off a great week. Every time I see a sunset, I'm reminded Christ loves me. It's the natural beauties of the Earth that help me appreciate the small and simple things:)
