Best Friends

Saturday morning Jake, Micah and Brittney came up from Wenatchee/Moscow to visit before I head on my Alaskan Adventure. They arrived around 1pm, so Del and I took them the dubs in the afternoon, then we went up schweitzer to see the view. After a bathroom break we headed back home, where we had hot chocolate and I enjoyed a nice message from Del, while watching Michael Clayton. Del left for good, and it was really hard to let him go and watch him walk out the door. I cried a little but it really helped to have my 3 best friends here to support me...So i got over it very quickly cos I didn't want them to think I was a big baby. Brittney and I stayed up talking until 3 am, and didn't get up sunday morning until around 11am. I made french toast, bacon, and eggs from breakfast. After that we went out side and did some shooting at the ice,and geese. It seems to be a tradition everytime the boys come up. Then brittney curled my hair, and we watched Atonement which was kind of dumb while micah and jake watched I am Legend. After that we went into town, on our way in we stopped by the bottle bay train track crossing and placed a variety of coins. Penny on top of quarter, a few nickles and dimes and then pennies also. After finishing out dinners at Fiesta Bonita we went to check out our coins. We were so lucky too because a train was coming right then, and we were able to try more combinations. Here's some pictures from Sunday afternoon.

Visit from Jacksons

Ryan, Diana and their 2 daughters Nicole and Erin arrived monday night around 7 after a long day of traveling from Seattle. They stopped in Pullman, WA to look at WSU as Erin is a Junior in High School and begininning to consider colleges. On tuesday morning they convinced me to go skiing with them up scheiwtzer. Boy was that an adventure. I used smaller ski's so it was easier on my knee...I had so much fun, but going down steep hills from the top intimidated me, and I slowed the others down a little. They said it was fine though that it gave the girls an opportunity to sit and rest. After a pretty nasty fall, but bumped my knee and it had had it for the rest of the day. Luckily it held out the entire afternoon! After a quick bite to eat we headed for home to take showers. They came to the decision as a group to stay an extra day. Though it was snowy on Wednesday, Del and I took the girls 4wheeling on our ATV's. The girls only wore sweatshirts and jeans (one in birkenstocks) so they got pretty cold fast. We went up the new eureka developmemnt where Del got stuck, and I did a little big but nothing Del couldn't ride out of. So here are some pictures of the visit with the Jacksons!

More

I noticed that My right eye squints more than my left when I smile...shoot that sucks. I never noticed that before. [oh well]. Stephanie complained she couldn't see my hair, so mom took some pictures of me on the deck yesterday while the sun was out. So...(stephanie) are these better?

Maggies' Fish

So since i'm not going to see Maggie this summer, I decided I needed to do something special with her while we were in Seattle, WA last week. Unfortunatly it was raining the day I planned on going to the zoo, so instead we went to the pet-store. Luckily, Morgan and Jeremy gave me permission to buy her...her much awaited fish. [her first pet] She wasn't so much interested in the fish though. More in the dogs and cats! The thing is Jeremy told her that she absolutly was not allowed to purchase a mouse/rat creature. But the first thing she said when we arrived in Pet-Co was "I want a hamster!" haha it was the cutest/funniest thing:)

But we ended up getting her a fish. She wanted to name her fish Goldie, but she didn't like the gold fish. We got her a Betta Fish, and let her pick which one. Then we got her a tank, treasure chest, food, and plants for her new tank. We had so much fun putting it together again. Hopefully she takes really good care of her new pet, so that when I come home in September, I will be able to see Goldie!

Out with the OLD, in with the NEW

For the passed couple of days i've comtemplated getting my haircut. Although I was very nervous to dye, and cut off my gorgeous long hair. I knew I would never do it if i didn't just wake up and go in. So this morning I called when I got up I called and made an appointment, and asked my mom to come with me! We drove to town and I was so nervous. The lady put my hair in a small ponytail and cut off about 12 inches she said. We donated it to 'locks of love', so some very lucky child will be greatful to recieve such an abundance of hair. So then after awhile of cutting, we put in the highlights. I WAS TERRIFIED THEN! The first time any dye had touched the top of my virgin hair. I sat underneath the head-dyer mahjig thing for awhile and read about Christina Aguilara's new baby and their nursury room. We washed and dryed my hair a 2nd time, and then she styled it. It looked pretty good, but kept feeling and touching my hair. Upon arriving home, I put on some makeup, and had a private photoshoot with myself in the bathroom with the prettiest mirror. It looks good, i'm satisfied. I loved long hair, but the short hair is cute too! Here's the cut! Feel free to tell me what you think!

New Haircut?

I feel like some change is due now. I leave for Alaska in a little over a month, and i'm getting excited! I'm thinking a haircut would be fun to try, and maybe some color too! I found this website where I can upload a picture of myself and change my hairstyles and stuff. I'm thinking I really like this cut, and would like to have it done! I need input...SHOULD I DO IT!?

Garden City, UT (bearlake)

I'm only going to post a couple picture. I had an amazing time, for a more detailed description of the week look at Adam and Brandi's Blog, it tells a lot about our week there. Del and I and our friends arrived late friday night. We went snowmobiling on Saturday, it was a gorgeous day! I enjoyed watching Del play on his new "toy!"

A still of the video I took of Nate, Josh and Del

Josh testing out the sled after taking it off the trailor

Nate excited about his NEW sled

My favorite picture of Del. He's jumping the trail

On sunday we rested, I said goodbye to Del, which was kind of hard but they were in quite a hurry to get out of there as there was a storm coming in...they wanted to beat the snow and make sure they made it home (in order to make it to school the next day.) On monday we went sledding again. Dad, Chris and Matt rented so after picking those sleds up at Funtimes we headed up the mountain. It was snowing and very foggy. Really cold out also which made the day not so pleasant. It was still fun though. I hadn't opened up to the sled though quite yet, I mainly just watched everyone. On tuesday I had some opportunity to try things my brothers were doing, and had a lot of fun climbing some hills, and learning to jump! I love snowmobiling, and would love to go MORE in the future!

Laramie, Wyoming

My parents and I arrived February 8th in the Denver airport where Curt met us. My bags didn't arrive due to some check-in error in Spokane. We visited and had lunch with Curt, Jen and Cache before heading to the bedroom for some well needed naps. Only Cache was ready to get up, and so I got up with him and visited with Jen for awhile. We had a really nice chat, it was really good to catch up! After a DELICIOUS dinner made by Jen and her Wiliam Sonoma cookbook Del arrived to pick me up. It was around 9 that my baggage was finally delivered I think, and then we hit the road. Del surprised me by picking me up in Josh's truch, only he used the "I bought a new truck" phrase. I LOVE THAT TRUCK! Someday Del will get a better one though, and I'll love it more! I met some more of his friends and we had a good time. On saturday the boys went snowmobiling for a little while, and we all met back at Del's place to make speghetti and watch a couple movies. Del showed everyone up with his fudge then before we knew it it was really late! Sunday Del worked and I hung out with Nate and Josh, we went to eat at the Library. Tuesday-Friday kind of sucked, I was at Del's ALL by MYSELF pretty much All day. Sadie came over and we made cupcakes for valentines day too. That night we went to eat at Perkins. It was really funny because Josh was really sick, and he kept eating Jelly packets and the old lady across the resteraunt kept STARRING! It was really annoying. Friday Del got out of school at 2 so we ran some errands. He worked at 5pm, so Joe and Adam and I went to Applebee's. Joe paid for me, it was so nice of him. On saturday Del and I made omletts for Adam and us, and then went for a drive. We found 2 guys that were so stuck in the snow there was no getting them out. Del snapped his tow-rope in the process of trying to pull them out. It didn't helpt that the stupid kid was going forward and del was pulling him the opposite way (oh well). Then we went to the Library for Dinner. Mon-Thurs was boring again. Sadie and I made sugar cookies for the boys this week and Cinnamon rolls too. Thursday night the boys worked on their sleds and trailor for a few hours, then we went to Applebee's for dinner. On friday Del, Nate, Josh and I headed in Josh's truck to Garden City, Utah for the annual Snowmobiling trip. The boys were only staying till sunday so it was going to be a short trip. I had so much fun in Laramie, and now it's really tough on me to be apart from Del! I can't wait to see him this weekend!
